    1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to auraphysiotherapy.ca, the official website of Aura Physiotherapy, operated by VJP Physical Therapy Corp. ("Aura," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website.

    • Learning about our services
    • Booking appointments
    • Contacting our clinic
    • Reading our blog posts and educational content

You agree not to use this website in any way that:

    • Violates any applicable federal, provincial, or local law or regulation
    • Infringes the rights of any other person or entity
    • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems
    • Interferes with the proper functioning of the website
    • Uses automated tools to scrape, copy, or harvest content
    • Submits false, misleading, or fraudulent information through forms

    3. Not Medical Advice

The information provided on this website is general and educational in nature. It is not intended to be, and should not be relied on as, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Reading this website does not establish a clinician-patient relationship. Personalized advice and treatment requires an in-person assessment by a Registered Physiotherapist (or other regulated clinician) at our clinic.

If you have a specific health concern, please book an initial assessment or consult an appropriate regulated healthcare provider. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

    4. Bookings and Cancellations

When you book an appointment through our website, by phone, or by email, you agree to the following:

    • Initial assessments are scheduled for 40 minutes. Follow-up appointments vary in length depending on the service.
    • We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations and reschedules.
    • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice and missed appointments are charged the full appointment fee.
    • Direct billing to your extended-health insurance provider is offered as a courtesy. Ultimate responsibility for payment rests with you.
    • Initial assessments are a paid clinical service. We do not offer free assessments or free consultations.

The full Cancellation Policy is available on our Booking page and our FAQs page.

    5. Direct Billing

We offer direct billing to many major extended-health insurance providers as a courtesy for physiotherapy, chiropractic, and other regulated services delivered at our clinic. Coverage, eligibility, and reimbursement are determined by your individual insurance plan. You are responsible for understanding your own coverage limits, deductibles, and any pre-authorization requirements.

For motor vehicle accident (MVA) and Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) claims, additional documentation may be required. Our team will guide you through what is needed.

    6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, design, and the trade name "Aura Physiotherapy," is the property of VJP Physical Therapy Corp. or our licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.

You may view, download for personal use, and print pages from this website provided that you do not modify the content and you retain all copyright and proprietary notices. Reproducing, distributing, or republishing any content from this website for commercial purposes without our prior written permission is prohibited.

    7. User-Submitted Content

When you submit information to us through our contact form, booking form, or by email, you confirm that:

    • The information you provide is accurate, current, and complete to the best of your knowledge
    • You have the authority to share any information you submit
    • You consent to our use of that information in accordance with our Privacy Policy
    • You will not submit content that is unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or invasive of another person's privacy

We reserve the right to remove or refuse to respond to any submission at our sole discretion.

    8. Reviews and Testimonials

Patients may leave reviews of their experience on third-party platforms such as Google Business Profile. We do not control or endorse the content of third-party reviews. Any testimonial published by us on this website is shared with the patient's documented written consent and does not include specific outcome claims or recovery timelines, in accordance with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta advertising standards and the comparable standards of the College of Chiropractors of Alberta.

Individual results vary. Past patient experiences do not guarantee similar outcomes for others.

    16. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of this website will be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of Alberta.
